So, I got back from Spain yesterday. I was there for my mum's cousin's son's wedding (no, we still haven't worked out his title!). It was a Catholic wedding, in Spanish, so that part was a little confusing but it was a lovely hotel and event.

However, Spain really doesn't understand vegetarians, so eating was an issue. Ah well.

Harry Potter: I only have Phoenix and Prince to go! Not really much to say about Azkaban and Goblet, except that they really really make me want to read shoebox_project.

I finished posting my Bruce/Dick WIP. It's really quite a strange feeling.

I've decided that I have two other small things to complete and then the fic-writing will be completely done. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.

Because I knew I'd forgotten something when I updated last!

My teeth are fairly healthy, and seriously, I've got nothing on helsinkibaby who has the most interesting (and painful) dental history of all time! But I've been getting pain recently and I went to the dentist, who varnished some of them and then discovered I've managed to fracture the enamel on my right lower 6 to the gum :s. It hurts, but they can't really do anything about it except, presumably, remove it, and it doesn't hurt that much yet.

Also, I'm going to Scotland tomorrow for a week with Mum, Dad, Jij, Jam, Paul, Louis and Reuben! Should be extremely hectic. Anyway, there's nothing around this place except the pretty Loch Lomond, so that could be very interesting.

A word on Atlantis 2x19 - there will be fic. This week, because I now have time and computer access. And I need to write my Carson ficathon fic. :s

The Peak District was lovely. Huw's friends are great and were very welcoming. Thankfully, I'm not daunted by new people so that all went very well. We went walking and went to Alton Towers - woohoo! Shooting monsters and dropping towards the ground are always good. :D

Hindu weddings are great opportunities to dress up like a bauble and chatter to relatives. During the ceremony too, because it goes on for 2+ hours and the drums are so loud that talking in a perfectly normal voice won't even dint the ceremony. *sigh* I need to spend more time with my cousins. And not at weddings.

SDR is still the biggest...grr in my life, somehow. It pervades all things. Guess what's happening AGAIN? Pairings! Pairings, for crying out loud, amongst a minority ship group that should know better! And then they start dissing me quietly because they think I'm not reading. This absentee list mom thing is not working out, and my mods are vanished again.

Ah well, love and hugs to all. Good to know your lives are all ticking over nicely.

Just got back from Essex!

Saw Les Miserables for the second time - it is amazing and intense, and I couldn't believe how many songs I remembered once I was hearing them again. So beautiful, still my absolute favourite.

Going to Swansea tomorrow for Harding's birthday, then staying in Cardiff until my Peak District holiday with Huw plus friends on Friday. Therefore, Net-less for quite some time - not that anyone minds the lack of spammage, I'm sure. :D

Now... helisinkibaby:Anonymous posting sucks. There's no reason why someone shouldn't have a Livejournal, therefore the whole thing is pointless. Ugh. I cannot believe how rude that was!

Next...lanning shared this link. It's about a Star Trek sitcom idea that might be realised...just go. Read. I'm terrified.

*sigh* That's all really. Oh, and Huw and I have been dating nine months. For those counting.

So, I've been busy. Went to Cardiff, did lots of shopping, bought many comics - it was a good week.

Then I went camping in South Wales. It did rain, but mostly during the night. Camping is weird but I did get used to sleeping on the ground eventually. I am now rather podgy, oh dear.

Huw told me something bizarre and horrific today:

MIAMI?! CSI's 7 or something and NY doesn't even figure? How is this possible?!

Not happy.

This afternoon I am carrying a large hold-all, sleeping bag and heavy laptop on a train to Cardiff. Two trains in fact - God help me.

Am back in Cardiff (sans Net) for a week, and then going camping in a remote Welsh town. Suffice it to say, you might not see me around.

Still, I am absurdly glad to get back to my city, back to my own house and a bus service and a certain comic book store. Bliss.

When I have the Net there, it will be perfect!

I am having One Of Those Weeks.

Meanwhile, I have a Neopet called DGsBruce (it's a (Kor)bat - so the name should now be obvious). He is blue. And absurdly cute. Though, seriously, I don't know how eight year olds deal with the whole thing, cos I really can't. Even the maths is bad!

Grandad's home now, and progressing slowly we think. Family are now going on holiday in August whilst I babysit. Have to break the news to Harding, whose birthday party I'm meant to be attending. Oh well.

Have discovered The Game of Life - cimmerianwillow mentioned it a few months ago and I was intrigued - and it's so much fun! I'm easily pleased.

So, jumping around from Avis, Pennsylvania (Little League is really kinda cool, I'm suddenly into baseball...) to Niagara Falls (skipped over to the Canadian side for the night - another stamp on my passport!) to Washington DC (as I wrote to maggis, it was an 'ooh, Arlington=IED, Capitol=Stackhouse Filibuster, Reflecting Pool=great fic where Sam and Josh get drunk and ice skate on it...') to NYC (Liberty! Ellis! Broadway!).

Which brings me to this - helsinkibaby, you are gonna be so proud of me!

As the only genre my family could agree on was Country, I am now the proud owner of FIVE country music CDs. So maybe next time you mention an artist/song, I may have some vague idea who you're talking about...

Also, I saw TWO musicals on Broadway! Unfortunately, I didn't get to see Rent - cos I was with my family :( - but we did get to see 'Mamma Mia!' and 'All Shook Up', both of which are out of this world with 'Mamma Mia!' now my favourite musical if it weren't for the unsurpassed 'Les Miserables'.

Now, Panic: ARGH! I have a million and one things to do before I go to Cardiff and I'm currently writing in my lj instead of doing any of them!! Because Cardiff gave me my offer so damn late and subsequently my residences form was in late, even though I sent it back two days after I received it, I have only got my third choice, which is what tk_rtmt kindly terms the worst accommodation in the entire university. *headdesk*.
