I'm sure most of you remember my little obsession with 'Alexander' - Classics will always be a love of mine, and I do adore that film.

Well, about two years ago - maybe three - I wrote a long Alex/Phai fic for a Zine that was being produced and after a looooong wait and a lot of effort, it's being published!

Seriously, folks, this thing is 271 pages long! Please, if you have an interest in the Alexander fandom, this is well worth it - go here to order!

Tonight, I watched Amazing Grace for the second time this week. And it's a brilliant film, as I have stated before.

And I cannot find any slash for it.

Now, clearly, it is a film of great storytelling and historical import, but if Ioan is going to run around in period costume and made cow-eyes at dear Benedict, what is a girl to do?! I mean, Wilber and Billy are buried next to each other!

So, I ask you, where is the slash? Or did no one watch this film? Do people consider it too sacred to touch (which I cannot believe is true)?

Someone show me the slash!!

Update - parents' house now free of under-fives. Fun to have around, but really exhausting! I'm so glad I don't have to see 4.30am again for a while.

However, they did lead to me watching CBeebies...

Now I really must go to bed, but I thought I'd better let you know how I was getting on!

I've never had this happen to me before, so it's a bit of a shock. I descend into my RPS madness, join an lj list and then one of the mods dies. And I didn't know him, being new, but it's still really strange almost-grief.

Anyways, I went on a road trip to Bristol yesterday with mantium, so we could catch a Serenity preview. We first missed our junction because we were talking but didn't realise until six junctions later, so turned back six junctions before pretty much returning in the same direction via an A road. After that, none of the directions made sense, so we stopped at a pub at 8.30 (when the film was meant to start), got directions and arrived late. We dived into our seats as the logo came up - good timing!

And I've finally watched the first episode of Lost.

Just came back from baby/dog-sitting - great time, the baby didn't make a sound and the dog was lovely. He's usually very hyper, but he lay quiet, took his biscuit nicely and let me watch my film in peace. The parents left me Thornton's chocolate and their vast collection of comic-based DVDs and videos - I chose Batman Forever. Batman and Robin - it is indeed true! And Val Kilmer has aged terribly!

So, in conclusion, what I want-

Right now: good Batman and Robin slash

Later: A dog. :)

Injections suck. So does revision. A combination of the two just leaves you completely whacked-out. Which is where I am right now. (Why oh why did I decide seven hours of revision was a good idea?!)

However, revision has left me in front of TMF's 400 Greatest Hits, which means I've finally heard/seen some of the classic songs I should've heard a long time ago. Case in point: Gangsta's Paradise, which is actually a very good song.

On a completely different note - LATTER DAYS! Whilst I was browsing the TWoP Charmed pages (for no better reason than I was trying to annoy my friend Nic) when I caught sight of a poll about Wes Ramsey (who plays Big Wyatt aka Mangy Jesus), with one option saying he was prettier as the gay party animal in 'Latter Days'. This was enough to pique my curiosity and so I headed to imdb.

Watched the trailer and giggled lots so decided it was a good plan to buy it and freak out the dedicated Charmed fans amongst my friendship group. Eventually found it at Amazon Z-Shops and watched it with interest.

My life, I'm in love. This film has usurped St Elmo's Fire as my favourite film. It's about a shallow gay guy in LA who falls in love with a Mormon. I laughed and I squeed and I cried real tears - it's well-written, moving, surprisingly deep and even the side characters are well-developed and intriguing. If you get the chance, watch it!!

Don't worry, I already got my friends by text this morning - my hard drive has crashed, you know. All the fic gone. I distressed a few with that one! :D

Anyways, fandom. Fickle thing really - once you're in, you're in. And suddenly no film or TV show is safe - you want to ship, you want to read, you want to go mad.

I am mad.

I have just watched six Hornblower films in just over 24 hours. Excuse this, as I am slightly tearful right now, but I absolutely had to get this all off my chest.

And slashers all - WATCH IT. It's beautiful, and perfect drama.
