So, helsinkibaby is very excitable last night and after a a spirited discussion about the tragic mis-casting of Remus Lupin in Prisoner of Azkaban and a tangent about my corruption in fandom, she asks me who played Archie in Hornblower. Well, of course, my beloved Jamie Bamber, a most talented and very fine actor. Who also plays Lee Adama in the new Battlestar Galactica, which I reminded her of.

At which point she tells me that he will be at Wolf SG9. The one Stargate con since Wolf SG4 that I am *not* going to. I confess that I actually cried, and cried again later, because it is too cruel that the one actor I would give almost anything to see right now is at a con where I am not but should be at were it not for pesky things like A-Levels.

I am distraught, and slightly terrified by my dependence on my LJ. With its vanishing last night, I found myself with nothing to do or read and that was also distressing. It was altogether a distressing evening last night but it did lead me to finally see an episode of BG even it was in the middle of the series and I had no idea why Lee was so very angry and angsty. Not how I remembered the show at all.

*sigh* It sucketh.

Yes, I know it's in November. However, I'm booking train tickets, so I thought I'd check the Wolf website, and who do I see?

PETER WINGFIELD!

This guy is, wow, I lack words. I never watched Highlander, but STILL. He's a legend! This on top of Michael, Teryl, Chris, Don and Ronny! So, so spoilt!

AND RYAC!!! OH MY LIFE! I am going to die from the HOT - SPOILT!

And I think I've worked it to only miss one lesson too, this is far too cool even if I have to work in the queues. :D
