So...

After reading a couple of brilliant fics and doodling in my lecture today (it was that good), I've come up with a challenge.

Many super-powered characters can fly. The human superheroes are agile athletes, using technology and skill to scale buildings and reach their targets.

They're also mostly kinda angsty.

The challenge is simple: create a fanwork based on a windowsill, with one character on the outside and one inside.

Perhaps Connor can't quite face looking in on Kyle, but Kyle's waiting for him behind the curtain? What if Bruce just can't get Dick out of his head, and sees something he shouldn't in his apartment? Maybe Tim always leans out of the window to kiss Kon as he flies by?

The possibilities are endless. It's time windows were used for something other than breaking-and-entering.

Deadline: 1st January 2008
Amended Deadline: 15th January 2008

[I've never had a big comics reach, so I'm relying on my good friends to spread the word on this one.]

THE DEFAULT ICON DRABBLE CHALLENGE

Write a drabble (100 words exactly) based on your current default icon. No changing it! Just write it as it comes; no beta-reading or mulling over. Any fandom or no fandom at all.

I stumbled across this challenge and I thought to myself 'What do I need to do?' (apart from pass this exam...) The answer came to me suddenly: Jake 2.0 fic! So, I will be attempting to make a dent in [info]fanfic100!

The Challenge

Pick a novel (or book), preferably one of more than 100 pages in length, and take the first (full) sentence off of the top of page; 10, 20, 30, 40 & ect. Until you have ten (or thereabouts) quotes.
Take said ten (or so) quotes and write drabbles based on them. You can use the whole quote, or just a section, even a word – all that matters is that you stay faithful to the first sentence part of the challenge.

I chose Homer's Odyssey and I have interpreted drabble rather loosely.
