So, while I was watching CSI, I saw some pretty odd adverts. (I can be forgiven for concentrating on the ads instead of the programme, because a) it's Vegas, b) Warrick wasn't in it and Gil and Greg only had one scene each, and c) it was clearly just humourous filler.
Original Source - am I the only one thinking that using 10 lemons to make one bottle of shampoo is slightly wasteful? And however many limes and mint leaves for shower gel and what-have-you? Madness.
Neighbours - so, Neighbours is moving to five. And they got the cast to do these ads - I'm always surprised when American/Australian TV shows can be bothered to make adverts specifically for UK TV channels. And what do you say to the actors? "Right, you're now on 'five', so run around screaming about 'moving to five' and we'll be done for the day."
"Tough Guy" movies - starting a new series of movies, full of adrenaline, muscle and guns? Fine, whatever floats your boat, but I'm watching these intercut sequences of Seagal and Jean-Claude - fairly typical - and I start recognising clips, but I'm thinking 'seriously, they slag off Ben Affleck by name, they cannot be including this...' but no, it would appear that they're starting off this little series with...
Spiderman. Seriously. I love Spiderman, but he's not exactly a testosterone-fuelled beefcake with an AK-47, is he? He is, in fact, probably the weediest, geekiest "action hero" you could find.
Made me smile.
