Due to technical difficulties (ie. Holly can't take care of her laptop) the links to the recs I WAS going to provide this time round have been lost... I therefore submit these, more up to date fics, instead :D

Well, with the exception of this one, which is a total AU based on The Last Unicorn with Cas as the unicorn angel. If you have seen the film or read the book you MUST read this adaptation for it is AMAZING!

Aurora Borealis by [info]unoshot

Then try this canon fic by the same author, which delves wonderfully into Castiel's psych during S05 (but beware, spoilers for 5.10):

Angels We Have Heard

This is a coda to S05 Changing Channels. There are several out there, but this is my favourite. Just the right mix of angst and love:

Back Seats are for Angel's Only by [info]sparseparsley

Just cute:

The Ten Commandments Don't Apply to Angels by [info]sam_storyteller

And because I love Chuck and Becky to pieces!!!

Four Times Becky Called Chuck, and One Time He Called Her by [info]longsufferingly

([info]hils, I feel like there's a specific rec here I promised but have forgotten, do you remember??)

Now on with the show...

This has been linked all over the place in the last few days, but it's the first chance I've had to take a look at it:

The Muppets do Bohemian Rhapsody

Dad now thinks I have completelty lost my mind; I was watching this, laughing like a loon, and all he can hear is the faint sound of Bohemian Rhapsody....

Am currently downloading the iPhone software update (about 6 months late with this one!) - finally started downloading when I realised that this is the reason my Facebook application no longer diplays properly on the iPhone!! Hopefully, the broadband connection from hell will stay at a reasonable speed so I can get this done..

Dad is flicking between United and Portsmouth and Ireland vs South Africa in the rugby - this could get quite confusing quite quickly, especially as I'm not paying attention!!

Can't believe it's December 1st on Tuesday - where has the year gone? Work Christmas dinner is next Saturday night, have my hair appointment booked for next Saturday morning, got a dress last week when I was out shopping with [info]helsinkibaby , and have borrowed a gorgeous pair of black heels from her for the occasion!! ( as she said herself, she can't wear them at the mo, so someone may as well get use from them!) Should be a fun night, just have to set a reminder on the phone to charge my camera....

Am very looking forward to Strictly tonight - the producers must be ripping their hair out this week, between Ali's injury and Ricky's brush with the law. It's actually becoming a case of Last Dancer Standing!!! Though as Mam said last night, it might be a good thing for Chris and Ola, they might actually make it to the final!!! (My response to this was a very predictable "YEAH BABY!!!!"

Another day on the sofa in front of the tv, this time with an NCIS marathon. The last two eps of season six, and as of just now, the first three of season seven. I'd forgotten how nice it is to see a season finale and then have the opener to go straight in to!

Mish mash of thoughts on all five eps )

For those of you on Nimoy watch, there is still no movement. Whenever there is, I will let people know... though Himself is LJ illiterate, so it'll either have to wait til I get home and can turn on a computer, or I'll get someone to do an update...something will be worked out...

In my haste I forgot to sign off. LOL!

Am on the train heading for London and currently abusing their free wifi. I will be offline once I get to King's Cross and won't be back until Monday

If you want to follow what's going on at Collectormania this weekend I will be texting updates to twitter which you can find here and you don't need an account to read them.

There's also a general hashtag that everyone will be using and you can follow that here

Even though Greg didn't know he was supposed to be distracting me from flailing about Misha he has done a stellar job. So far he's sent me the Brian Blessed entry on TV Tropes, the Muppet Bohemian Rhapsody and now these three gems

My Immortal

Samuel. Mother. Fuckin'. Jackson

Neville Longbottom is a BAMF

Do I put aside my Torchwood boycott to get a photo with John Barrowman and/or Gareth David-Lloyd? I should save my pennies really...

Once this weekend is over I'm setting my sights on meeting the guys (and girls) from Merlin again. It's been aaaaaaaaages since I met them at May Expo and they keep doing stuff and I keep not being able to go for whatever reason.

I need a dose of Colin Morgan pretty soon!

I'm almost embarassed to admit this but what the hell, it doesn't usually stop me.

I just sewed on a button for the first time and it didn't fall off! \o/

Seriously, I had it in my head that it was really complicated and it so isn't.

I am proud of myself and I don't care what anyone else says so ner!

Wow, this time tomorrow I will be at [info]yavannauk's house ready for Misha on Satuday. ZOMG! *flail*

I bet you guys will be glad when it's over so I'll STFU about it. God help me if I ever go to a full-on SPN con

So after my adventures in blood pressure heightening, today has been a day where I have sat on my sofa and looked at tv. There was last night's Strictly It Takes Two (Brian and Ali's foot and his poor little face! And "we got up at 8 and I took her to the specialist" or whatever it was he said? Seriously!) , there was a season 17 ep of Law and Order (the Anna Nicole Smith episode), the season 18 finale of Law and Order (don't you love with when you're looking at the same show on two different channels? And am I supposed to hate Cutter as much as this episode made me? Things to ponder.)

There was a Bio Channel biography of Donny Osmond that Himself taped for me when I was in hospital yesterday that he left me to find as a surprise, because he knows that Donny is my secret celebrity crush (that I am now outing myself on) and because that is romance in my book. (The surprise taping, not the supporting of the crush, though that's pretty great too.)

And there were Criminal Minds.

I love this video. Was massively impressed when they showed it on Children in Need last week. We've all being trying to spot as many characters as we can in my office. Sadly since none of us have kids the newer ones are lost on us.

I BROKE THE C ON MY KEYBOARD.

IT IS HANGING ON THE HOUSING LIKE A SAD MUTANT FREAK LETTER.

I was trying to get under the keys to get some of the dust out and popped the X off. So I was wiggling the C to try ad see how to fix the X and it popped off too. The X I got back on with no problem. The C...

I popped one of the pegs off on the plastic clips, which doesn't seem to be as bad. Then I snapped off the little metal clip that holds the top half of the key down. Which is a significantly worse problem to have.

[info]pollums says I should just spell everything with a K now. So, I'm fukked.

I told Saturdate, and we talked about netbooks, and how that's probably all I'd really need since I don't do any hardcore gaming or much beyond Internet and Word and the occasional doodle. I'd keep this laptop still and probably use it for things that require a little more power than a dinky little netbook. Saturdate said he's getting me one for Christmas and that I can't get him one (because I'd thought about it) and have to find some other present now. But I don't know if he's being serious or not. He's weird like that sometimes.

Going to have Turkeysgiving with his family. He's got a huge family, so this should be interesting. This isn't my first Saturdate Family Holiday Adventure, but this is a little larger than my last few outings. I must assemble a chocolate trifle for to bring as dessertage.

Nnnngh. So mad about this. I was trying very hard NOT to break that little metal bit too.

I totally meant to post this earlier in the week but I totally forgot

So, I am meeting Misha Collins this weekend. You may have seen me mention it in my LJ once or twice over the past few months ;)

Anyway I have NO idea what to say to him beyond 'hello' so if you've got any suggestions or questions I could ask him then throw them this way. I have a question for his panel which I will ask him on Sunday if I don't get the chance to do it at the talk but for the Saturday I got nothing. HELP A MINION OUT!
